Ashley M. Eckert

For 16 years I have focused my practice on family law, and in 2012 I opened my solo practice to better serve the needs of clients who deserve straightforward advice during a troubled time without unnecessary litigation or inflation of fees.

In 2023, I partnered with Brooke Ginty, Esquire and Wesley Legg, Esquire – 2 well-respected Chester County family law practitioners with a like-minded approach to family law – our client-focused, practical strategies make sure our clients and their families get the best results possible.

My experience in all areas of divorce, custody, and support actions — from the most amicable settlements to the most complex litigation — means that no matter your goals, I am uniquely qualified to help you meet them.

I take a mediation-style approach to family law, with a belief that finding the middle ground saves everyone a lot of time, money, and heartache. When litigation is necessary, I provide the decisive, focused advocacy you expect and deserve. I have also helped hundreds of clients prepare for the future with personalized estate planning. My goal is client satisfaction and diligent representation at all stages of a legal matter. Clients find my straightforward approach refreshing and appreciate my ability to move their case forward efficiently — and they value having a “real” conversation about what they can expect in their particular matter.

Background and More About My Practice

I attended West Chester University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature. I went on to attend Widener University School of Law (now Widener University Delaware Law School) where I achieved my Juris Doctor in 2008. I maintain a license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and I am admitted to practice before the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. I am a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Chester County Bar Association, and the Doris J. Freedman Inn of Court. I reside in Chester County with my husband and three children, and I enjoy being active in our community.

A proud Chester County resident, I am committed to compassionate advocacy and I love being a solo practitioner because all of my cases get my personal attention. You are more than just a file number here! I understand the complex nature of family law and just how taxing your legal matter can be. I believe your attorney should help to take some of the burden off your shoulders, not complicate your life or your case even further. I provide my clients with practical advice and make sure they know what to expect at all stages of their matter, whether in settlement negotiations or court appearances, because I know this helps them feel more comfortable and confident during a difficult time.
